Educational Philosophy and Method

Hua Language Centre and Ascensia Academy were founded on the belief that a sturdy foundation is essential for the learning of a language or subject. We strongly feel that to build a sturdy foundation we have to make learning interesting, enjoyable, meaningful, and purposeful.

We seek to motivate the learner, regardless of age, to learn at his maximum potential. We want the young learner to gain a head start; the older learner to achieve his goals. In other words we want our students to succeed.

From our extensive experience we note that for children who are learning Chinese, it is best that the exposure comes very early in their lives. Later they will have less difficulty mastering the language in school and will be more confident than their peers.

For those studying English in preparation for a variety of language examinations, we are aware that a systematic guidance where close attention is paid to individual needs, effective language acquisition strategies and lots of practice will work wonders.

For those undergoing academic courses a strong doze of content materials, concept analyses, explanations and close guidance is the way to go.
