Details of the Course
Elementary ( I &II )
Elementary ( I&II ) is for complete beginners. This course teaches
language forms and their uses, and practices receptive and productive
skills.
This course is to teach beginners English up to a point where they
can begin to use English to achieve a certain number of practical
communication aims.
Intermediate ( I &II )
Intermediate ( I&II ) is a continuation of the Elementary course
and is a more in-depth study of the language.
This course is to encourage further development in the language. A
student of this course will be taught to communicate effectively,
both in speech and writing, in everyday situations to meet educational
and societal demands. Completion of this course will enable a student
to acquire information confidently as well as to develop skills which
enable them to learn other subjects taught in English.
Advanced ( I&II )
This level is a significant one in the career of language learners.
Main grammatical areas have already been presented to them. Students
would have achieved a certain level of accuracy and the ability to
cope with more authentic material. These two levels will focus on
how different parts of the language relate to one another.
These
will
also interweave accuracy and fluency into their language skills.
Reading and listening texts come from a wide variety of authentic
sources - literature, both classical and modern questionnaires, professional
magazines and several interviews with experts in their
own field.
Speaking activities include role-plays, discussions, surveys, lectures
and communication activities.
At the end of the course, the student will be equipped to sit for
the English paper conducted by the Cambridge First Certificate Examination. |
