PRE-SCHOOL BILINGUAL PROGRAMME
(Available at Causeway Point
Branch only)
Exposure to a good balance of English and Chinese at an early age helps your
child become effectively bilingual. At Hua Language Centre,
we help your Little Ones lay the building blocks for a
strong language foundation. Creative and enjoyment activities
encourage developmental growth and help children gain mastery
of basic language skills in English and Chinese.
All lessons conducted at Causeway Point are carried out
in a pleasant and conducive environment using our very
own specially designed materials. Class sizes are kept
to a minimum in order to ensure that Little Ones receive
valuable teacher attention.
PLAYGROUP
FOR 1½ TO 2½ YEAR OLDS
This playgroup programme allows little children to get
together for 1½ hours daily to interact and learn basic
skills such as alphabets, numbers, shapes and colours.
The main objective is to help the child foster an interest
in learning and to develop his motor-sensory skills. Both
English and Chinese are used in songs, stories, and creative
activities to help the child learn through the natural
process of play and discovery.
NURSERY
FOR 2½ TO 4 YEAR OLDS
The nursery groups meet for 2 hours each time (twice or
thrice-a-week). A systematic, creative approach using songs,
rhymes and phonics is used to develop language skills.
Each day, there will be an hour of English and Chinese
activities.
KINDERGARTEN 1 & 2
FOR 5 TO 6 YEAR OLDS
These two programmes are conducted for 2 hours twice or
thrice a week (an hour for each language). Both of them
seek to develop the child's confidence in languages that
will stand him in good stead for primary school. The language
games, stories, songs, reading and oral activities in both
English and Chinese will help children gain confidence
in handling both languages in school. All activities are
aimed at not only providing knowledge for the child but
also to helping the child develop socially and physically.
For English in K1, phonics will be taught to prepare the
child for reading.
For Chinese in K2, Hanyu Pinyin will be taught in the second
half of the year to prepare the child for Primary One.
