STUDENT PROTECTION SCHEME

The Student Protection Scheme (SPS) serves to protect the students' fees in the event a Private Education Organisation (PEO) is unable to continue operations due to insolvency, and/or regulatory closure. Furthermore, the SPS protects the student if the PEO fails to pay penalties or return fees to the student arising from judgments made against it by the Singapore courts.

We have in place a Student Protection Scheme (SPS) as required by the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) by way of a Student Tuition Fee Account (ESCROW). ESCROW indemnifies students for their tuition paid in advance to Hua for the following events:

  1. Hua is unable to continue operations due to insolvency, and/or regulatory closure
  2. Hua fails to pay penalties or return fees to the student arising from judgments made against it by the Singapore courts
  3. Upon death or total permanent disability of the student.
